As jobs remain scarce, employers stay selective about the applicants they interview. There are, however, ways a résumé and cover letter can set you apart from other candidates—if you know what to do.
Whether you’re entering the workforce, between positions, or looking to change jobs, this two-part workshop can help you:
- learn which experiences, training, and abilities employers want and need to know,
- showcase talents and experiences in ways that project confidence, not arrogance,
- present industry and company knowledge in ways that enhance applicant credibility, and
- leave a favorable, lasting impression on prospective employers.
By discussing little-known strategies in a fun, informative, and supportive forum, you’ll learn ways to improve the reception of your application materials.
Participants are invited to bring a current resume and/or cover letter to reference during discussions.
